Spring Lake, MI - June, 2010: Interior Concepts was honored by the Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg at it's annual awards luncheon with a 2010 Business Recognition Award. Interior Concepts was honored at the Chamber program for its innovation in the educational furniture and call center furniture industries through the use of a new computer program ICE Edge Software.
"We do place a great deal of emphasis on technology," said David Kendrick president of Interior Concepts. Kendrick said this technology allows clients to take a virtual walk-through (Virtaul Tour) of designed workspaces featuring it's Educational Furniture, Call Center Furniture, and Custom Office Furniture — and, as a result, the time to go to market is decreased because they can take the walk-through design and send it right to production.
Along with the Business Recognition Award, Interior Concepts received a Special Tribute certificate from the State of Michigan signed by Governor Jennifer Granholm, and a certificate from Ottawa County. The Special Tribute recognizes the many exceptional accomplishments of an establishment, like Interior Concepts, that has served as a leader in its community.
The Business Recognition Award program recognizes businesses currently operating in Northwest Ottawa County. It honors businesses that experience substancial amounts of economic growth and expansion as a result of their dedication, implementation, and execution of finanical and capital improvement plans.
Other companies honored by the chamber were Brilliance Audio, a company based in Grand Haven that specializes in the production of audio books, as well as Reenders Blueberry Farms, the developers of the Mill Point Station in Spring Lake Village and the Ferrysburg Wash Center. In addition to the 2010 Business Recognition Award, Interior Concepts was also recently selected as a winner at the sixth annual Progressive Manufacturing 100 Awards, and received additional recognition as a Progressive Manufacturer of the Year for a Small Company.
